Sonnys was founded in 1968 in Gainesville Florida by Sonny Tillman. The chain was sold in 1991 and has over 100 locations in 9 southern states. Sonnys is known for their great tasting slowly barbecued food and generous side dishes. Some of the franchises have been closing due to the economic times but for as good as the food is, we can't believe that this would be the end of the restaurants.
